Benchmark FR fabrics are impregnated with a flame retardant which reacts with the hydroxyl group in the cellulose of the natural material. This is not a coating or a cross linking, but rather, a chemical bond with the fiber’s molecular structure.

Benchmark flame resistant fabric is skin safe and stable. If cared for properly, Benchmark flame resistant properties will not wash out regardless of the number of wash and wear cycles.
